How much can I borrow?

The amount you can borrow is generally affected by the following …

  • your deposit
  • your income
  • bank’s serviceabilty criteria – which is linked to interest rates, cost of living, and your existing liabilities etc.

The following table gives you a guide to how your income level (item 2 above) affects your borrowing capacity. Your maximum will differ between different lenders. Note this table assumes you have no liabilities (ie no other loans). .
